On the surface, Salt & Sand carries a soothing connotation—creamy coastal colors, the rhythm of waves crashing against the shore, and the familiar beauty of the Florida coast. But for me, the name runs much deeper.

I grew up in the rural Florida Panhandle on my family’s fourth generation cattle farm, and this name is partly derived from that background. The name comes from the literal salt in our sweat and the sand in our soil. Raising livestock and tending land in the relentless Florida climate has acted as both the preserver (salt) and the refiner (sand) that shaped who I am today.

Salt on our skin symbolizes the grit and hard work required to build anything worthwhile, while our land's sandy earth represents not backing away from what is hard but learning to appreciate the things that challenge us.
